Physics 1010
Howard Demars
This class provided me with the basic knowledge that I feel will make it much easier to move on into more advanced Physics courses, especially because I was unable to take a Physics class in high school. It takes a lot of "outside-the-box" thinking, in a sense, though. Because the natural world seems so natural to us, it was difficult for me to bring myself fully into this class until I began to realize that it was providing me with a more in-depth look at how these processes actually take place in this natural world. Once I fully accepted the class for what it was able to give me, it proved very beneficial.
This assignment was about writing a paper in APA style and on a chosen subject from a list given to the students by the instructor. The list of subjects was given to us at the beginning of the semester, so it provided us with a glimpse as to what we would be learning about as it would take some substantial knowledge to write a paper on one of these people/concepts. By the end of the semester, I felt like I truly understood enough in order to perform research on the Large Hadron Collider and become purveyor of information regarding the impressive scientific project.
