The things I want most in life are as follows (in no particular order):
-- Financial Security
I want to be able to provide for myself without living paycheck to paycheck. As such, I want the ability to meet my financial needs while also being able to save a substantial amount of money for my future and possibly even have some spending money in the end.
-- A stable home
While many other people might want to buy a fancy car or make some other extravagant purchase, I just want to be able to purchase a home and have the hope of actually paying it off in the future. I have always considered myself extremely responsible financially. This goal highlights the need for me to actually have the opportunity to be responsible. I might plan for good savings habits, but if I don't work hard I know I won't get the chance to put those plans to good use.
-- Physical Fitness
I always enjoy physical activity. But I want to have the time for it once again, and I want to utilize that time properly. I very much enjoy tennis, but the range of physical activity I like varies greatly. I really like simple games of catch with a frisbee or football, but I also love to branch out and explore new realms, as evidenced by my lifetime activites education.
-- A variety of life experiences
I have been lucky enough to be through all but a handful of states in this country, but I desperately want to experience the worlds that exist outside of mine. I want to visit places as nearby as Canada and Mexico, places as touristically cliché as London and Paris, and places as distant as Tokyo, Budapest, Moscow, and Sydney.
--To constantly be able to learn
I believe that learning is a constant process and is a necessity for understanding the world in which we live. I want to hold onto this mindset as I move forward in life so that I am constantly learning and constantly aware that I am learning. But not only that. I would also love to pursue much higher educational goals. Currently, I am a mathematics major completing an Associate in Science Degree, and as such, a Bachelor of Mathematics in the near future. But I have never considered myself to be skilled in only one area. I always strive to better myself through learning and practice. In fact, in writing this goal, I was forced to look up the proper styling for the degrees mentioned above. Once I found out, I put them to good use and hope to never forget what I've learned. That's just who I am and I take great pride in my education. Not as a haughty intellectual property, but as the most decent thing a person can do for the rest of society. So I know that I want to continue past a Bachelor of Mathematics degree all the way to the Ph.D. level, but I want to learn everything else that I can and possibly pursue other degrees. The only thing I worry about is not having enough time to do so.
