Math 1220 -- Calculus II
Instructor: Hallie Elich

This is the second part of the Calculus sequence at the University of Utah. Topics covered include
- Logarithmic Functions
- Exponential Functions (growth/decay)
- Polar Coordinates
- Sequences
- Series
- Introductory Differential Equations
- Integration Techniques
This is one of the most rewarding courses in the standard Mathematics major track in that if a student works hard to understand as much as possible, then they will have a very strong working knowledge of the Calculus -- at least in one variable. My first experience with Calculus I was that it was quite vague and difficult to deeply understand. But effort made in Calculus II really solidifies anything learned prior and provides ample opportunity to improve the ability with which one handles more complicated derivatives and integrals.
