HLAC 1100 -- Tennis I

Professor Brett R. Davis

In this class, we learned the basics of playing tennis, as well as activities and games to get the most out of the sport both physically and mentally. Within Tennis I is -- not only a plethora of skills for the game itself -- but also a wide variety of lifelong wellness skills. It was a fantastic class and I highly recommend it to future students. Even if -- just like me -- you have very little to no experience in the sport.

I very much enjoyed this class. The physical and technical skills learned within the class itself are completely invaluable to one's physical health, mental health, personal well-being, and of course, their tennis game. I think this class is definitely worth expanding upon at the college. I would love it if their were more tennis classes offered so that I could set myself on a path with it and continue along. Perhaps if the tennis courts were covered in the winter, something like this could be achieved and we could hope for Tennis III and possibly even Tennis IV. I'd really enjoy that.
